Needing a home of their own, Time Inc's new media division, The Foundry, moved out of their midtown headquarters in the iconic Time Life Building and established their offices in South Brooklyn. The Foundry looked to Industry City to promote a "Maker" spirit and to become infused with Brooklyn's creative community. Reminiscent of start up incubators, Time Inc's new hub was designed with an open floor plan and ample collaborative spaces, encouraging a dynamic work environment. Uhuru outfitted their offices with over 300 Minim split-base workstations and created a 25 foot long live-edge conference table in partnership with TPG Architecture.
