Brooklyn Waterfront Park
Built on the site of the former sugar refinery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn's newest waterfront park is a tribute to the generations of factory workers, their families, and the diverse neighborhood. As part of Two Trees’ redevelopment of this historic site, Uhuru produced over 60 outdoor pieces, including variations of bench designs, lounge chairs, and tables, all made from reclaimed antique heart pine beams from the original sugar refinery. In collaboration with The Hudson Company, Uhuru manufactured over 1,000 linear feet of benches, incorporated with charging stations and wireless access points within the powder-coated aluminum bases.
