Nestled in the heart of Beverly Hills, an Investment Firm establishes its LA offices in a landmark office tower designed by a renowned mid-century architect. The client’s vision was to showcase the building’s iconic design while embracing a warm and hospitable interior aesthetic that would celebrate its presence in Beverly Hills. In close collaboration with the design firm, we embarked on a creative journey to craft unique and tailor-made workplace pieces that complemented the client’s hands-on business approach.

design challenge

The client wanted a space that didn’t feel standard or methodical. With a specific interior vibe outlined, we worked with the interior designer to design custom pieces that felt warm, welcoming, elegant, and to highlight the architectural elements of the unique space.

goal

• Fuse our signature Uhuru style with the designer’s distinct vision and aesthetic: A palette leaning more towards 70’s inspired wood tones with jewel tones in warmer color ways and textural materials that emphasize hand-made vibes.
• Design engineer custom pieces to be fully power, data, and AV capable.

• Custom sit-stand desks to match mill work wall feature: fully enclosed lifters with tambour texture on exterior. Monitor arm compatible.
• Custom storage behind desk: Full height built-in storage with wardrobe (suit hanging, mirror, accessories drawers, bags, etc), decorative feature wall with shelves and lower cabinet storage.
• Custom wood scalloped pulls on cabinet to mimic tambour texture on desks.

Arch Conference Table for Board Room:
With a beautifully book matched marble top, this custom table has a curved base inspired by the building’s architecture. We design engineered the base so it fully integrates AV, power, data, and telecom.

Drawing from our award-winning MINIM Conference System, we designed several other conference and communal tables that drew inspiration from the elements of the building.

open plan seating

• 4-pack open office sit-stand seating with lateral files. The goal was to design a creative workspace that had some privacy and space division, but didn’t feel too much like a standard“cubicle”.
• Sit-stand single sided desking, against an existing wall. The sit-stand lifting mechanisms are integrated into each storage cabinet.
