For Oxford Finance’s new HQ, Uhuru partnered with Gensler to craft a furniture language that bridges past and present—supporting a workplace design rooted in contrast. The building’s interiors reflect the duality of Old Town Alexandria: historic charm meets contemporary utility. Furniture styles and finishes nod to Georgian and Victorian-era homes popular in the area, while complementing the grit and structure of a modern warehouse aesthetic. Across the reception, meeting, and communal spaces, each piece reflects Oxford’s commitment to clarity, confidence, and connection.
The entry level sets the tone with a bold yet grounded gesture—Uhuru’s custom live-edge reception desk, crafted to bring warmth and material presence to a space framed by blackened wood ceiling fins and a curved perforated steel staircase.

Throughout the workplace, Uhuru crafted tailored solutions for both private offices and open-plan environments—integrating custom shrouded-leg desks, storage, and casework. Clean lines and layered materiality echo the building’s architectural narrative, striking a balance between refined utility and the tonal interplay of old and new.

In the kitchen, a custom pantry table by Uhuru becomes the heart of the space—inviting informal connection and everyday interaction. Built for both beauty and function, it reflects the same material dialogue that runs throughout the office: refined, grounded, and intentionally made.
Uhuru's Boardwalk Conference Table makes a commanding statement. Its sculptural base and expansive top lend weight and permanence to a space centered on strategy and dialogue—mirroring the sophistication and strength of Oxford’s leadership.
