lam system

power beam workspace

The Lam System reimagines the workplace as a built environment: less a collection of desks, and more a connected architectural landscape for focus, collaboration, and pause. Anchored by a central structural beam, Lam supports fixed and adjustable-height work surfaces, storage, seating, screens, and power while preserving an open, continuous field of movement.

Inspired by mass timber architecture and glulam construction, Lam brings span, strength, and material warmth to scale. Unlike conventional power beams that require frequent base supports, Lam’s beam spans with intention, reducing the need for legs and opening the space below—creating a lighter footprint, integrated power and data, and a more flexible system.

The Lam System has been named a 2026 HiP Awards honoree.

strength in layers

The system draws from glued laminated timber (glulam), where layers of wood are bonded together for strength and durability, giving the beam a solid architectural presence while preserving the warmth of the grain. In collaboration with Cambium, micro-CLT brings a technique typically used in floors and ceilings to the scale of work surfaces, carrying the same layered integrity through the system’s architectural DNA.

integrated power and data

Power and data are seamlessly integrated. The Lam beam simplifies routing and access, ensuring technology is always within reach. Connections are available along the beam through subtle cutouts, as well as at the base just above the support, keeping access intuitive yet visually quiet. The result is smoother workflows and stronger day-to-day connectivity.

endless solutions

Inherently modular, Lam supporting a range of components—fixed and height-adjustable workstations, touchdown tables, storage, upholstered seating, and privacy screens in fabric, PET, or smoked glass.
